Research Committee Journal Club ~ Topic: Low back pain: tenacious and troublesome
March 24, 2021  |  7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
2 Core Competency Credits

Journal Club Topic: Low back pain: tenacious and troublesome
Article:
https://www.thelancet.com/series/low-back-pain

Low back pain is quickly gaining notoriety around the world. It may strike at any age, any socio-economic rung, and it does not select individuals based on any physical characteristics, aside from malignant diseases, spinal malformations, or spinal injuries.
Treatment courses vary depending on who and where in the world you choose to investigate. Low-income countries tend to offer bed rest, high-income countries tend to offer dangerous medications, and neither country type seems to be making much headway.

Please join MTAM Research Committee member, Geoffery Dumas, RMT, for this fascinating topic. He will be referencing multiple articles in this presentation that is sure to lead to a fantastic discussion!
