Instructor Bio
Sheila’s advancement of the massage therapy field began at graduation in 1995, when she started instructing at Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies Inc. In 2000, her efforts were awarded with an honorarium from the College for her dedication and devotion to the field of massage therapy.

In 1999, Sheila’s passion for working with the elderly began at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg Inc. where she gained invaluable experience working with residents of the home until 2009. During her time at Middlechurch, she represented massage therapy on the Palliative Care Team from 2001 - 2007 and was the Chair from 2005 – 2007. Sheila continued to present and educate many medical professionals at events such as the Hospice & Palliative Care Annual Conference, the Long Term Care Conference as well as many individual personal care homes.

Her love of the massage therapy field goes well beyond her personal practice. Sheila served on the Board of Directors for MTAM from 2007 – 2009 and sat on the Education Committee. In 2012, Sheila was presented with the Award of Merit from the MTAM, for her contribution to the massage therapy field and continues to wholeheartedly advance and educate the entire medical field with her palliative care and education expertise. In 2016, Sheila was a part of the Standards Advisory Committee for the development of the standards for the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation, and went on to join the team of site surveyors to accredit massage therapy schools across Canada.
