Join Sheila Bergman for this science-based discussion Massage Therapy & the Immune System. This workshop was developed to educate massage therapists on best practices while working with clients. It is designed to be a review of how the immune system of the body works, and how best to assist in its function.

By taking this workshop, you should develop an understanding of what Innate and Specific Immunity are and how they work in protecting the body from disease. You will develop an understanding of cells involved and how they perform their function and the effect of stress on the immune system. You will learn about personal and public health as well as understand the role a massage therapist has in the protection of public health.
