Massage therapists frequently work with clients who have experienced trauma, whether physical, emotional, or psychological. Clients may disclose personal stories or exhibit trauma responses during sessions. This introductory session provides a foundational understanding of Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and how to apply its principles in professional settings. Participants will explore the impact of trauma on the brain and behavior, learn simple strategies to foster safety and trust, and reflect on self-care practices to prevent secondary trauma and burnout.
