Tricia Weidenbacher is a Registered Massage Therapist and entrepreneur who has run a successful health care practice for over 20 years. Tricia cultivated her leadership and professional skills in food service management before making the jump to massage therapy in 1996. In 2013, Tricia decided to enhance her business health care career accepting the position of Education Coordinator for the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba. She elevated and expanded this role to Education & Event Manager, managing the professional development program for over 1100 massage therapists across Manitoba and developing education courses that are relevant for health care practitioners.
In 2018, Tricia completed the Advanced Program in Management, Leadership and Strategy through the University of Manitoba Asper School of Business Executive Program. Most recently, she has earned the position of Executive Director of the MTAM and is currently responsible for the daily operations of the organization.
Shelly Bauer is the Education and Practice coordinator at the MTAM. She has a BA(Hons) from the University of Winnipeg and a graduate of Evolve College (MTCM). She has worked in a variety of practice settings, including been a clinic owner with 2 massage therapy clinics in Winnipeg. Currently she runs a small home based business. She has also been a massage therapy instructor, done program and curriculum development and coordinated an student outreach program. Shelly also served on the MTAM board for several terms before joining the team in 2021.
