Session Overview:

“Reserved acts” are among the most frequently misunderstood elements of regulated health professions. Yet they are foundational to how Manitoba’s health legislation protects the public from risk of harm.

This fireside chat provides a clear, grounded explanation of what reserved acts are under Manitoba law, why they exist, and how they function within a regulated framework. Delivered in a supportive, conversational format, this session focuses on clarity over speculation and fact over fear.

Participants will leave with a practical understanding of how reserved acts intersect with scope of practice, public protection, and regulatory design — and what that means for current massage therapy practice.
