This hands-on course introduces clinicians to the practical, evidence-informed application of Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) for the head, neck, and upper extremities.  

 

Participants will develop proficiency in assessing common musculoskeletal conditions and applying targeted IASTM techniques to support mobility, reduce discomfort, and improve functional outcomes. The course emphasizes clinical reasoning, appropriate dosing, and patient-centred care, moving beyond rigid protocols to adaptable, outcome-focused treatment strategies.  

 

Attendees will leave with immediately applicable skills that integrate seamlessly into clinical practice while improving efficiency and reducing physical strain on the practitioner.

Dr. Nikita Vizniak (Dr. Nik) is a registered massage therapist (RMT), wholistic chiropractor educator, and internationally recognized author of over 50 books used in massage therapy, physical medicine, nutrition, and evidence-informed best practices programs worldwide. As the founder of ProHealth Systems Inc., he has spent over two decades developing evidence-informed, clinically relevant resources that bridge assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.  

 

Dr. Nik is known for his practical, high-yield teaching style that integrates orthopedic assessment, manual therapy, and active rehabilitation into cohesive, patient-centred care. His work emphasizes “Evidence-Informed Person-Centred Best Practices,” helping clinicians improve outcomes while reducing physical strain in practice.  

 

He regularly presents at conferences across North America and continues to contribute to advancing clinical education and continuing professional development standards across manual therapy professions.

 

Cancellations made prior to one month before to the course start date will receive a full refund less a 10% administration fee. Cancellations made between one month and two-weeks before the course start date receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations from 2 weeks prior to the course start date. Extenuating circumstances will always be considered. Please note, last minute emergency cancellations are subject to a 10% administration fee.
