Join Kris Gaetano (BFL Canada) and Jennifer Finnell (Trisura) for this 1-hour webinar Understanding Your Professional & General Liability Insurance. Kris and Jen will explain the details of the MTAM P&GL policy coverage, clarify the premise of the coverage, and outline the anatomy of a claim.
 
Outlining the basics of the optional policies and process of claims to help understand the following:
    • what is covered by your P&GL policy for you as an independent Massage Therapist
    • what is needed if you are a Massage Therapist that owns their own business
    • In the event of a claim or an event that you believe may give rise to a claim,  what are the steps to take and how do you report it
    • how does your policy respond in the event of:
      •  a claim for Bodily injury on the premises or while receiving a treatment
      • A data breach occurs and your client’s information is compromised
      • You have a clinic shutdown by authorities that is out of your control- what happens next?
      • In each instance, what gets paid? What doesn’t? How long does it take?
 
    • what is NOT covered by your standard P&GL policy and what might you need additional coverage for
      • commercial, mobile, home business
      • cyber protection
      • Hiring additional practitioners
      • Expanding services or treatments
      • Moving or expanding locations
 
    • What is uninsurable and why?
      • wear and tear, rodents/vermin, funghi/spores/mold, etc
      • sexual misconduct, charges of sexual assault
      • material changes in risk
