Clear communication is essential for successful practice and client safety. When massage therapists ignore basic principles in communication, their words and behaviour can complicate messaging, confuse clients and erode trust. At its worst, poor communication may result in official complaints or disciplinary action. This webinar clarifies the relationship between what is said, what is done and how therapist actions are understood by clients. It uses real cases to demonstrate how confusing messages can hurt or harm, tracing the path from misunderstanding or ignoring client concerns to serious penalties and discipline. It provides opportunities to challenge preconceived notions and to practice proven communication techniques that clarify and support the therapeutic relationship. Finally, the webinar reveals good practices for protecting therapist integrity through documentation.
