At the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba, we offer various volunteer opportunities for members who are interested in getting involved and making a positive impact in the massage therapy community.
New opportunities will be posted here as MTAM is notified of them.
If you have a need for volunteers for your event please contact MTAM and we’ll do our best to assist you.
An RMT’s work is often solitary. Even in a busy clinic you may not have enough opportunities to network and brainstorm with your co-workers. Actively taking part on one of MTAM’s committees gives you access to quality professional opportunities and a host of other benefits!
Fun – Committee meetings and activities are a good time! Get to know new people and work toward shared goals.
Self fulfilment – Volunteering can give you that feeling of pride and fulfillment that comes with giving back to your professional community.
Networking – Committee meetings help connect you with other RMTs which helps you build your referral network, grow your practice, support your clients, and explore new opportunities. Having quality networking opportunities helps make you sharper, more informed, and increases your value as a health professional.
Career opportunities – Getting to know other committee members often helps you stay informed about new career opportunities and can help you with your own recruitment and hiring efforts.
Leadership opportunities – Taking part on committees helps you hone your leadership skills and allows you to play a role in determining changes in the profession.
Professional Development – Learn about evolving client care and business best practices, fine-tune your craft and learn about your profession a lot faster while earning professional development credits.
